79 of 100 ... Operation Cobra Reboot

Better title than "The Axe Falls"!  Yup, today I was summoned to my manager's office and informed that the budget that included my salary was being reduced, and along with it, my job.  I have until about the end of December.  What was a blessing - was that I was ready for this and this news confirmed what I knew and had been thinking.  So, I wasn't surprised or upset.  Now, I can set about finding something new!

So, tonight, the task was to dust off my Admin resume and prep my AMEC CV.  Done and Done.  Two more to do over the next few days - Sr Admin/EA/Office Manager and Training and Development resumes. Those will take a bit more finessing! Is it bad that I'm feeling good about this?

Gratitude: Today, I'm grateful for ...

1.  being told well in advance that my days on Kearl are numbered.  There is already work being put in to finding me another job ... interview on Friday!
2.  my team (the T-BAGS) winning our safety competition!  We really did work together as a team, everyone contributed something and coming into the competition today ranking 3rd, we were amazing!!!  For the amount of disagreeing I did over the whole thing, it sure turned out well!
3.  getting my teeth cleaned and figuring out a plan for that.  Sadly, it will take a fair amount of money so I hope I can do something to figure this out without having to use my inheritance!
4.  the excitement of a new opportunity ... I am ready to leave Kearl and this is timely and respectful.  The only sad part is the amount of talking behind my back that I know when on.  It's nice to know that I have people in my corner!
5.   my PVR which is recording TV shows so I can go to sleep!
