73 of 100 ... Breathe

It is well-known to all I know that I love to read.  And, as the e-reader creeps more and more into our world, I am finding out just how old-school I am.  Give me a "real" book any time.  Put me in the middle of a library or a bookstore and I'm in my glory.  Every time I walk into my little basement apartment, the first thing I see are books.  They are my comfort, my energy, my source of life.  I know I will die with books still unread in my possession.  A few years ago, I was approached by my friend RA to help out her daughter's school by buying magazines.  Now, I've bought the occasional magazine, and occsionally, I used to find myself buying the same one a lot.  I dropped off ... until I had this opportunity.  Well, this is my 3rd year buying magazines from them, and I might have settled on the perfect magazines - for my brother, Fast Company (great on tech advances and stories); for my niece, Discovery Girls (great lessons and topics for young girls!); for my nephew, Discover (learning opportunities!); and for me, Oprah and Health - one for my soul, one for my body. Tonight, I placed my yearly order ... and NONE of them were e-issues!!!

Gratitude:
1.  Today, I'm grateful for my thirst for knowledge, for always wanting to learn something new.  I truly believe: the more you learn, the more you realize the little you know.
2.  Today, I'm grateful that RA's children are still selling magazines!
3.  Today, I'm grateful that it's ok to not do anything when I get home.  I know, in the long run, I'll be feeling the consequences, but right now, it's good to just relax.
4.  Today, I am grateful for the experiences in my past where I felt in my element and purposeful.  I have to find that again.
5.  Today, I'm grateful that there still is hope, that I can still look forward to the possibilities of tomorrow.
