What was is gone, what is to come can still be. If I do what I've always done, I'll get what I've always got. This needs to change. Here I challenge myself to that change and see what can yet become of this chapter of my life.

Not from here! ... just from my little world in Cowtown. And only for a night. But a night is better than nothing!! I haven't had a holiday, a break, a get-away, a anything this year (after Feb.1) ... and so this little escape is a nice treat!

Gratitude:
1. I'm grateful today that I got to go with CP to Edmonton, especially since she is having problems with her eye so I got to really help her - with driving and other things here. We might not stay as long tomorrow if she is still having problems. It was good to talk about 'girl-things' and get some laughs with her. I miss spending time with her ... however, she spends all her time helping her children and that's good.
2. Today, I'm grateful that I got in to get my eyes tested. Next step - new glasses!
3. Today, I'm grateful that I got a really close parking spot to where my optometrist is! It's hard to find parking spots in the best of times (and I paid $6.00 for just over an hour of parking), but at least it was the same amount as taking the bus downtown!
4. Today, I'm grateful to get proper contacts so I can see really clearly for distance. Closer will have to use reading glasses, and that includes texting! Strange!
5. Today, I'm grateful that my eye doctor gave me two reading glasses free! One for book-reading and one for screen-reading!
I have things here for planning - not sure how much I will get done, but it would be cool to get home tomorrow to get things done. Then, the weekend would be a win-win! and, if we're here for a while, then I'll have tons of things to do! So, for me - win-win either way!
