38 of 100 ... Beautiful Snow, Dangerous Snow

In June 2013, Calgary got some rain.  Not a drop or two, but enough to destroy homes and city streets.  In September 2014, Calgary got some snow.  Not a flurry or two, but enough to split trees.  Today, the snow came and it stopped.  And what it left behind was something I've never seen before.  Apparently, the thick snow combined with the leaves on the trees really did some damage - no street was free from broken branches and split trees, power failures throughout the city and the traffic was horrific! One person at work took him 2 hrs to go a distance that usually takes him about 10 min.  AND ... there was no reason for the traffic snarl-up.

Goal Advancement for today:

Gratitude:

1/ Today, I am grateful for getting to the gas station before my car ran out of gas!
2/ Today, I'm grateful for having a lovely hot bath.
3/ Today, I'm grateful for having a nap after coming home and still having a bit of time after that.  Not that I did anything with it ... Whenever I have a nap, it often blurs into the night but this time I did get up, for a bit anyway.
4/ Today, I am grateful for not having any damage from the snow - my power stayed on, no branches on my car and only one non-light at one intersection on the way to work.  No snarl-ups either. And the drive home was uneventful.
5/ Today, I'm grateful I got an awesome parking spot.
