23 of 100 ... Onward and Upward!

Wednesday got away on me and I needed to tend to a challenge of my own.  I appreciate when life has a way of coming back on itself and provide an opportunity to learn from past incidents.  Wednesday was such a day that time was given to beginning to deal with past events.

Gratitude Moments for Wednesday
1.  On this day, I was grateful for the thoracic surgeon agreeing with me.  I'm no medical wiz, but it just seems to me that this is all happening very fast, and though that's good, it also seems to be happening without looking at the big picture.  It was a good feeling to know that the medical doctor agreed with me.
2.  On this day, I was very grateful that the surgeon agreed to go with Plan A (waiting and having another CT scan in six months), rather than Plan B (going for another biopsy but going into a very difficult place with very difficult results for me).
3.  On this day, I was grateful for being able to still work all my hours in the day, even with a two hour visit to the surgeon.  A long day, but still made it!
4.  On this day, I was grateful for the time a friend took to listen to me  and give me full attention as I struggled to come to terms with past issues.  I do desperately want to learn from mistakes, but part of it has to do with also being willing to listen openly to what others have to say about my mistakes.  It's not about beating myself up, but learning from them and leaving that old me behind and I can't do it until know what it is, even though I suspect I already know that answer.
5.  On this day, I was grateful for beautiful weather.  Even though I didn't get to enjoy it, it was so nice to feel the little bit of warmth on my skin as I walked from the building to my car.

Steps out of my Rut on Wednesday
1. Cups of water: 4.
2. Activity: Not really.
3. Empty sink: YES!
4. Meals: YES! (my new method of planning works well, provided I'm focused, and I've designed it to enhance my focus!)

5.  Salad/Fruit:  YES! (Greek for lunch and an orange for later snack)
6.  Meds? Yup!
