7 of 100 ... On the Hunt

... but didn't find it.  Well, I found two programmes but others are MIA.  Man, this hunt reminded me of even more cleaning I have to do!  This health thing better clean up soon, because I have a lot of work to do!

Day's Report

Habits:
- Clean Sink: yes
- Cups of Water: 2 cups (lots of tea, but not water)
- Hours of sleep: 9h-ish
- Meds: yes
- Reading: no (this is happening too often ... better change!)
Goal Advancement for today:
E: I began the anal-process of taking my contacts and info off my cell phone.  I need to update & clean it but don't want to run the risk of losing things, so began today.  Already, things are missing!

F: Updated details for this month.
(E-Environment, P:Physical, F:Financial, PA: Prof/Personal Development, R: Relationships.)
Gratitude:

1/ I'm grateful today that DH came to help me hunt for his sister's programmes.  We found two; now I'm on the hunt to find the rest for her. Reached out to BS to see if she has them.  She and I have a difficult history, but I hope she'll help out KH and see beyond my name on the email.
2/ I'm grateful today that I got to lounge around in my pjs until early afternoon.
3/ I'm grateful today for feeling pretty good for the physical exertions I did today.  Nothing to note above, but something for my lungs to exercise to and hopefully no pain tomorrow!
4/ I'm grateful today to finally get that list begun!  I know I should trust technology but I've lost too much for me to not do this! I so need to clean my cell, so I'm glad I got this started.
5/ I'm grateful today for a quiet day.  Yes, too many of them might be difficult, but I need to remember that I chose this and that if I don't like it, I need to change it.  So, for today, it was nice to be quiet.

6 of 100 ... Milkshakes and Chinese Food!

(Written a day later.)

Ok, neither of those helped with my goals, but they were wonderful, especially because they were shared with RA!!! A lovely day where I got to spend time with a lovely person!

Day's Report

Habits:
- Clean Sink: yes
- Cups of Water: 6 cups
- Hours of sleep: 8h-ish
- Meds: yes
- Reading: no
Goal Advancement for today:
P: I went to see the Naturopath today. She believes it's possible to do what I need to do to lose weight, and in the process, also reduce the medication! Both would be a bonus!  This time, though, I'm going to talk to the clinic before opening the boxes and starting the process.  The plan she gave me is do-able ... it will need a mind-set of no going back, but that's ok.  I'd rather be healthy anyway!
(E-Environment, P:Physical, F:Financial, PA: Prof/Personal Development, R: Relationships.)
Gratitude:

1/ Today, I'm grateful for seeing that it is possible to achieve what I want to achieve! The naturopath doctor suggested that this experience is empowering me, and I think there's something there. I'm going to have to work harder but I'm also determined. It's not something I can complain about, but it's something to be overcome and incorporated into the healthy life I intend to live!
2/ Today, I'm grateful for the milkshake and dinner with RA ... yes, they did not go towards the healthy life, but they were enjoyed.  And, the occasional enjoyment along the way is ok! Especially when that enjoyment comes from spending time with good friends! This is done, so shifting back to healthy food focus now!
3/ Today, I'm grateful for the car I have. I do miss my red Civic, but the "Bluebird' is a solid car that drives well.  Gratitude to my father for passing it on to me!  And, it's still a Honda - Accord, this time! I think the next car I will get will also be a Honda ... but not for a while!
4/ Today, I'm grateful for witnessing the resiliency of the human spirit.  I have not been to High River since the flood in 2013 and that was something I will never forget.  To see the town returning to itself, with still a long way to go (homes that are crumbling because they are destroyed) but the spirit of regrowth is there! And that was a blessing to see!  Reminds me that life does go on and we can rebound from tragedy.
5/ Today, I'm grateful for my enjoyment from cosmetics.  My skin has changed in the last couple of years, so the challenge is to find a way to still make it look healthy but not caked.  I have  a variety of skills under my belt and am grateful that this is a source of pleasure for me! Time to learn and practice new tricks!

5 of 100 ... Fabulous Friday!

(Writing 2 days late)

I think that there is never anything bad about a Friday ... working is good and enjoying life is good (even best when they both are together!) ... but on a Friday, it is to get both in one day! At least, it's up to me to make it so.

Report on my Day:

Habits:
- Clean Sink: yes
- Cups of Water: 5 cups
- Hours of sleep: 7h 5m
- Meds: yes
- Reading: no
Goal Advancement for today:
Nothing of significance.  I could include tidying up my apartment, but I won't.  That's not a goal, that's a given! The goal is over and above the general tidying that is required weekly!
(E-Environment, P:Physical, F:Financial, PA: Prof/Personal Development, R: Relationships.)
Gratitude:

1/ I'm grateful today for the fantastic text messages that showed me that RA was in the province!  She took an impromptu roadtrip with her children and mother and is in Alberta! That means I will get to see her this weekend!!
2/ I'm grateful today that RA was able to do this - I know traveling is hard for her and it's wonderful that the opportunity rose and she took it! And people in her world supported her in doing it!  I'm grateful for the people in her world encouraging her and helping her achieve this ... I know she'll have a wonderful time out here!
3/ I'm grateful today for finding the fantastic slippers at Costco that went missing in January!  Two more things to replace - the blanket and a suitcase - and I'll have replaced the important parts.  Makeup is still in the process.  But I have those wonderful slippers again!  NOW, I have a few wonderful slippers! no more cold feet for me!
4/ I'm grateful today for dreams ... When I left teaching 6 years ago, all dreams stopped.  I felt lost.  And, it's been something that I've struggled with over this time - no dreams, no goals.  Today, I can say that dreams are coming back, even if they are small like figuring out how to eat to lose weight and not affect my INR (though, I hope the losing weight part will affect the amount of medication I take!), or a goal of getting my storage clean ... I hope that these small goals and achievement of them will transfer to something bigger - like my next career!
5/ I'm grateful today for relaxing Friday evenings, to be able to sit on my sofa and watch TV or read or something, or go shopping and wander as I please.  Weekends can be tough when I spend them alone (yes, I acknowledge, that is my choice, because I am fully capable of finding someone!), but I'm ok with spending Friday's on my own.  And, for the most part, I enjoy the evening as I wish.

4 of 100 ... Summer in the City!

Busy day! But productive ... from a professional view, anyway!

Day's Report ...

Habits:
- Clean Sink: yes
- Cups of Water: 6 cups
- Hours of sleep: 7h 23m
- Meds: yes
- Reading: yes!
Goal Advancement for today:
P: I wasn't really hungry when I came home so I had a salad ... lots of greens and some protein!  will have to remember that for when I'm not too hungry! Perfect meal!
(E-Environment, P:Physical, F:Financial, PA: Prof/Personal Development, R: Relationships.)
Gratitude

1/ I'm grateful I could spend some time with RA today; I think she went through a tough day, and, thanks to texting, I did what I could to support her.  She may have had others, but I did what I could to add to the support she got today, and I'm grateful I could do that.
2/ I'm grateful today that the pain in my back is almost completely gone.  I've been having a strange pain the last few days, and today ... I feel almost normal again!  So normal, I tried on some of my stilettos.  Sadly, it will still be a while before I can wear these again!
3/ I'm grateful today that I've been able to keep up with my FB gratitude challenge!  It's different than here, but so far, I've hit every day as I'm supposed to!
4/ I'm grateful today for my cool water bottle - I've been hunting for a while for a bottle that helps me drink more water, and I think I found it!  I take this with me everywhere!
5/ I'm grateful today just to be.   Sometimes, after everything that's happened, I appreciate pausing and just being present, grateful that I am - here, in this moment, at this time.  Things could be a whole lot worse, and they're not ... and this gives me something to strive for!

3 of 100 ... Movin on Up!

Wednesday was a busy day ... I'm getting used to a new responsibility at work and it's good for my brain!  Keeps me active and stretching those muscles! I just need to get other muscles moving as much ...

Results from today:

Habits (plus 1 new one):
- Clean Sink: no
- Cups of Water: 4 cups
- Hours of sleep: 6h 49m
- Meds: yes (almost forgot!)
- Reading: no, too tired!
Goal Advancement for today:
R: I went for lunch with some friends at work! (Soooo tired after work, I kinda crashed!)
(E-Environment, P:Physical, F:Financial, PA: Prof/Personal Development, R: Relationships.)
Gratitude

1/ Today, I'm grateful that I was invited out for lunch with a couple of gals from work!
2/ Today, I'm grateful that I didn't have anything pressing so that I could go to bed as soon as I was able!
3/ Today, I'm grateful that KH, a Summerstock friend, came up with a fantastic solution for a problem!  She desperately needs programs but I can't get into my storage boxes (too heavy for me right now), so her brother is going to come over this weekend and help me!
4/ Today, I'm grateful for the change in my job.  This is what my brain needed!
5/ Today, I'm grateful for my nice warm bed!!!

2 of 100 ... Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Quite a productive evening!  If you consider that all I worked on actually has been on my "ToDo" list for quite a while! Need to do this quick and then get to bed ...

Habits (plus 1 new one):
- Clean Sink: yes
- Cups of Water: 5 cups
- Hours of sleep: 7h 17m
- Meds: yes
- Reading: not yet (I only have to read 4 pg a day right now, but I often read more.)
Goal Advancement for today:
F: Followed up and contacted Equifax (found out my score was higher than I thought! But it can still get better ...) and my Skype account (which was disconnected for some reason.  All ok now!) and did some financial figuring and paying of bills.
P: I finished a bag of salad today!  I can't remember the last time that happened!  That means I had salad 3 days in a row ... AND I had some lovely blueberries today! Yum!
(E-Environment, P:Physical, F:Financial, PA: Prof/Personal Development, R: Relationships.)
Gratitude1/ I'm grateful today to be on top of my finances!  There's not much there, but good to know where it all is and to have an idea of how to make things better!
2/ I'm grateful today to work with people who care about me.  I had an odd pain today and was really encouraged to go to the hospital after work by a few people.  I didn't go (in part because my credit card wouldn't have accepted payment ... it will now!) but also because I wanted to see if it would get better with a bit of muscle work.  I am feeling so stiff!!
3/ I'm grateful today for the wonderful Chinese noodle dish a friend at work made for me last week ... today was the last little bit and I sure enjoyed it!! What a kind thing for her to do for me!
4/ I'm grateful today for having my responsibilities changed - it was so good not to walk around much at work today!  I know I have to keep moving, and I do, but this is much better. Tomorrow, am going to spend the whole day at my new task!
5/ I'm grateful today for my credit score!  As mentioned, it's a lot higher than I thought it was going to be!  That was a lovely surprise! Now, to keep it going up ...

1 of 100 ... Let's Get this Show on the Road!!

Ok ... time to launch 2.0 ... the groundwork is done, I know exactly what I want to do over the next 100 days, I know exactly what I want to achieve in 100 days.
The intention of this next chapter is to build on the foundation that I have established - to continue the inner change and development at the same time as starting to work on an external of change as well.  This, as I elaborated on in the previous entry, will begin with a focus on the development of new habits that support success and then planning and executing specifics towards my 5 100-Day Goals (Health-H, Finances-F, Relationships-R,  Personal Development-PD, and Environment-E).  I have a binder in which all is written out ... here, there is only room for a brief re-cap on what was worked on that day, as I am accountable here for each day.

So, here's how the first day went:

Habits (plus 1 new one):
- Clean Sink: yes (and there was a lot!)
- Cups of Water: 4 cups
- Hours of sleep: approx 9h
- Meds: yes
- Reading: yes (decided to read Awaken the Giant Within by A. Robbins for the first. I should get 3-4 books read over the 100 days if I can keep up with  chapter a day!)
Goal Advancement for today:
E: Loaded car with 1 load from storage.
P: Planned meals; made borscht soup for week. Don't need to go out to eat this week!
(E-Environment, P:Physical, F:Financial, PA: Prof/Personal Development, R: Relationships.)
Gratitude
1/ Today, I'm grateful that RA nominated me to to post 3 things I'm grateful for on my FB.  I've enjoyed reading other people's moments and am a bit daunted to do it myself!  Somehow, it's different than here - a larger audience? maybe concern of being judged in some way?  Whatever, I'm glad I'm doing it! Thank you, RA!
2/ Today, I'm grateful for a day off work ... a STAT holiday!  I finished all the paperwork for my goals last night and today, I got to start it!  I woke excited!!
3/ Today, I'm grateful for getting my car loaded before the rain came ... I wanted to do more, but at least I got one done! Tomorrow will deal with it and unload it.
4/ Today, I grateful for all the good memories I have of my parents and Aunt Lydia.  Some memories fade over time, both good and bad ones, and - with the passing of a college friend's mother today, I pause and remember the good things about my parents.  Time is so short! And as you age, it seems to go faster.
5/ Today, I'm grateful for food processors - I decided to make soup for the week today and with the processor, it made the preparation a breeze.  And it turned out pretty dang good!
